Dear Dr. Carol,

I wanted to give you an update on my cat, Samantha.

She’s almost back to herself.  She’s eating, drinking and all that comes with that, along with playing a little as well as being her same ole’ demanding self! LOL!!

I spoke with Dr. Summerlin, DVM here, the Vet that had seen Samantha,  his diagnosis was that she had gotten some sort of infection, perhaps from that cat food and agreed that the way she responded to your vitamin supplements and home-made diet that there was indeed no cause for alarm considering her kidney’s at this time, and again, that due in fact to her creatine level being “dead on.”

He agree’s that the abnormalities in Samantha’s bloodwork are all explained by her vomiting and diarrhea for four days acompanied with having eaten that recalled cat food for two weeks.

Dr. Summerlin is not concerned with Samantha’s thyroid since her Thyroid test was 23 on a 10-50 scale, nor is he concerned at this time about her kidney’s. He approves of your VitaLife supplements and does agree with you that another full battery of blood and urine might be a good idea in about 6 weeks just to follow up with her health.

Forgive me for not getting back with you sooner than this, however, I haven’t been able to get a consult with Dr. Summerlin until just this week and wanted to do that first.

I will look forward to your thoughts as usual and your wonderful input, Dr. Carol.

Thank you!!

Does Your Dog Suffer with Seizures?

Ask Dr. Carol, Avoiding Disease, Dogs, Seizures-Epliepsy, VitaLife Success Stories 3 Comments »

Dear Dr. Carol,

We ordered your VitaLife Supplements in December of 2008 after despairing because Chelsea, our little 5 year old

Chihuahua was suffering with one or two horrible seizures every week. Out vet put her on a few different medications, none helped and she mostly slept all day until she would have another seizure.

You were nice enough to call us back and help us with the dose of the VitaLife for her and go over her diet.

Now it has been over a year later, we stopped her phenobarbital and now she only has 3 or 4 seizures a year, which is very manageable.  We are delighted. She loves your supplement, the AM and PM and my husband and I can finally sleep at night and not worry about her.

We of course also studied all the toxic substances you mentioned in commercial pet food and around our house in order to remove them all. Chelsea scarfs down the home-made diet you told us about and we will never put her back on that other nutro food.

Thank you for your wonderful product and all your help.

Scruffy

Hi Dr. Carol,

I did receive the powdered Vitalife vitamins. I am happy that Scruffy is so far doing much better on this vitamin. I just open the capsule and mix it in his food. Scruffy is also doing much better as I took your advice and am now feeding him small meals 4 times a day. I am mixing in your probiotics and digestive enzymes too. His diabetes is under control now much better and his sugar levels are remaining constant. He has stopped vomiting and the diarrhea has cleared up.

I have not yet received the other things in the mail yet, I am sure I will soon. I am anxious to see if after a while I could cut down on the insulin dosage if he continues to do this well on the food and your vitalife supplements, etc.

Thanks for your all your time and advice.

I wish you were here in Colorado!

Be in touch soon!

Max

Hi Doctor Carol,

Max, my 13 year old lab looked good today he was active and actually able to go up and down the stairs which he did several times. He barked and wagged his tail. I hope this continues. WOW!

We will see what happens tomorrow. I am very encouraged by the improvement we already see in him. It’s only been 3 weeks with your VitaLife supplement, and he still has a long way to go.

I will keep you informed on his progress and can’t thank you enough for all the time you spent talking to me and your excellent advice.

Thank you,

Dr. Carol's Naturally Healthy Dogs Book

I wanted to share this story with all of our pet lovers: Karena, a client of mine put my “Naturally Healthy Dogs” book to good use last week. Her dog Danzig had severe diarrhea. Karena read the section on home remedy’s and decided to use chicken broth to help with hydration. She added sweet potatoes and broccoli and her dog loved it because the soup was sweet tasting. The soup did it’s job and Danzig was cleared up in less than 12 hours.

Karena wanted to know if the sweet potatoes and broccoli were okay and whether they were better raw or steamed. Whichever, your dog prefers is fine. These and other other veggies–carrots, broccoli, etc. are excellent.

Karena also wanted to know when my new cat VitaLife vitamin supplement formula would be ready. My new cat AM/PM advanced health complex formula will be a great tasting powdered supplement owners just sprinkle onto the food in the morning and evening. I should be receiving it soon and I’ll let everybody know when it is ready to ship.

VitaLife Pet Vitamins Improve Tiffany’s Heart Condition

Dogs, Systemic Illnesses, VitaLife Success Stories Comments Off

Hi Dr. Carol,
We started using your VitaLife vitamins for our dog Tiffany in particular she had a heart murmur and was slowing down quite a bit. About a month after we started the vitamins. She seemed to have more energy, and was her saucy self until the day she died. We have continued giving them to our other dogs to keep them as healthy as possible.
Oooops! I forgot to send a picture of our dog Brandy. She is on your vitamins too.

Thank you,

Happy Pets r’ Barkin about Benefits of VitaLife Vitamins

Hi Dr. Carol,
I sent you 2 pictures. One is our precious Tiffany that we lost last year, the other is Wilson and Patch. We got Wilson after Tiffany died. Patch was very depressed. He wasn’t eating and had lost 1 1/2 lbs. At 7 lbs, he doesn’t have a lot to lose. We found Wilson through a rescue group, and he and Patch bonded almost instantly and are a total two-some. Wilson is on the left.

Gizmo the Dog Enjoying Life with VitaLife Vitamins at age 14

Gizmo

Hi Dr. Carol,

I have forgotten how long Gizmo has been a customer of your Vitalife vitamin supplement, but being a Pekingese, a breed that suppose to have several gene problems, Gizmo has been doing so well being on Vitalife Vitamins for so long now. The product was at first to me pricy, but now as the years go by; to me it is now priceless. I can’t think of even giving Gizmo, whom I love the most in this world, my baby, anything other than the best.

Gizmo is now 14 years old still acting like he is a puppy. I can’t be any happier. I am so glad I trusted your product enough to order way back. Every time we go to the Vet, they are amazed with Gizmo’s energy.

The picture attached was taken last Christmas, Gizmo was licking his chops, because he thought all the gifts were his, ha-ha-ha.

Gizmo still remains very healthy, with not even any joint or any type of body aches and pain.

Thank you so much Dr. Carol.

Sammy: Another Happy VitaLife Dog

Dogs, VitaLife Success Stories Comments Off

Hi Dr. Carol,

I am going to go online to your site though and order the arthritis formula as an addition to his Vitalife vitamins. Since the vet changed him to the low protein diet, he’s not getting the glucosamine and chrondrotin and I think it helps him.

clip_image002

Sometimes I miss doses (as you can tell) :-) Whenever I travel with or without him it slips.

Sammy is doing pretty good for being 14 years old! He lost 2 pounds recently (he usually weighs in around 12 – 12.5 pounds. He’s a "big" Yorkie). Now he’s about 10. Ran urine test, poo tests, both okay. X-rays, no tumors. Heart, liver and spleen a little enlarged. But his BUN came back at 43, so vet has him on a low protein diet now. Sammy doesn’t seem to mind the switch. He has a good appetite. Thanks goodness.

I am taking the liberty of attaching a picture of him that was taken this last Christmas Eve/early Christmas morning. He looks pretty darn good for 98! :-) He’s my baby! Aren’t they all????

Thanks a lot, Jan
